The 2024 Transatlantic Forum for Climate and Environmental Justice is just weeks away, and we want you to take part. Join us for a day of dialogues and workshops with leading voices from the climate and environmental justice movements in the United States and Germany.

Friday, November 1
The Mortara Center for International Studies @ Georgetown University
3600 N St NW | Washington, DC
Doors open at 9am | Free and open for all

We honor the work of climate and environmental justice by learning from it.
What does the work of climate and environmental justice look like in the United States and Germany? What does success look like?

Sharon Lavigne, founder of RISE ST. James, the grassroots organization in Louisiana’s Cancer Alley fighting the petrochemical industry, leads our morning conversation.

Luisa Neubauer and Helena Marschall, climate activists from the Fridays for Future movement in Germany, lead the afternoon dialogue.

We continue the work through interactive workshops facilitated by Analyah Schlaeger dos Santos and Tobias MärzWhat is the future for climate and environmental justice? What are the next steps to take to move us forward together?

Please register here to attend this year’s forum. Online and in-person options are available, including for the workshops. A light breakfast and lunch are provided. All are welcome. The agenda can be found on our event page.

The 2024 Transatlantic Forum for Climate and Environmental Justice is hosted by POCACITO in partnership with the BMW Center for German and European Studies at Georgetown University and supported by the German Embassy in Washington, DC.
